BA (Hons) Games Art & Design is Creative Skillset accredited, part of the PlayStation® First Academic Development Programme, and holds Apple University Developer Status. Through workshops and practical projects, you will master industry standard game engines to create assets using 2D and 3D game development software, explore the art of making games, analyse their artistic and cultural value and gain a critical appreciation of the diverse mainstream and indie sectors. Our media labs equipped with the latest software provides the setting for working on live briefs, developing professional practice and entering international competitions. Recent graduates include BAFTA-winning games designers, the V&A's first Games Designer in Residence, six teams of Dare to Be Digital finalists and employees at Apple, Sony and EA. You will graduate with an online portfolio, a digital showreel, a playable demo and the skills to pitch, network and promote yourself effectively to the industry.
