Mobile screen Cast Issue with Hotstar app into smart tv Jul 30, 2017

   Hi All,

   Anyone facing issue with mobile screen casting to smart TV, it was working before few days but now not working, when i cast mobile screen to smart TV so facing issue with hotstar app...when I play any vedio then the screen gets black out and only audio is what works.

   Thanks in advance for any help.

   I have been facing this on my op3 since a year or so,. I believe its hotstar thing not too sure though. All other apps do work on screencast but not hotstar. This seems to be happening since nougat update.

   I am also having this problem. I have Samsung Smart Led TV. WHICH IS NOT CONNECTING WITH THIS DEVICE BUT CONNECTING WITH OTHER PHONE WITH SCREEN MIRRORING FEATURE.

   Yes struggling with the same issue in my LG smart TV. I don't think its an hotstar issue as i also tried casting other live streaming apps & face tge same issue... this seems to he related to the latest update released fir OP 5 few days back. Any help to fix this would be highly appreciated

   I am also facing same problem on my OP 5T. Casting works fine on other phones with hotstar but problem is only with 5T

   Not sure whether it is true. I also had this
   problem and somebody told me that JioTV app does not allow casting. I uninstalled JioTV and hotstar casting is working fine now. This could be because Jio account is linked with hotstar. Again not sure.

    One solution i found on internet browsing regarding HotStar casting on smarttv. It having app is showing doing that. Solution for that is open Hotstar on your mobile lastest chrome browser which have Cast feature its should.

    guys listen up.

    it's hotstar and Jiotv ( more other TV apps are coming) who is responsible for your issue.

    they have updated their software so that you can't mirror it to your smart TV . it's their business policy.

    so there is nothing you can do or OnePlus could do to fix it.

    you can download previous version of hotstar or other TV app to enjoy mirroring. You will have to search that by yourself.

    hotstar and prime vdo is unable to mirrim from one plus 6t also. I can here audio, and subtitles are also visible, but not vdo

    But the same can be played by huawei phone.

    Oh hey it doesn't work that way. Your Smartphone and your Smart TV should be connected to the same Wi-Fi network for that. You cant just disable the Wi-Fi. Also for some TV's thr TV hosts its individual Wi-Fi Hotspot to which you have to connect your phone.
